Program Co-Chairs Michael Butler, Chairman and CEO of Cascadia Capital LLC and Bruce E. Dick of Perkins Coie LLP and an outstanding faculty will examine the push for renewable energy projects, the renewable energy incentives included in the federal stimulus package, other federal and state incentives, permitting hurdles, and the intricacies of financing renewable energy projects. David L. Benson, Program Chair is a partner with Stoel Rives LLP in the firm’s Corporate, Securities and Finance practice group and is a member of the firm’s Renewable Energy group. He leads the firm’s Biofuels Initiative and Biomass Initiative and represents clients in public and private transactions, including debt and equity financings, merger and acquisition transactions, joint ventures and other strategic alliances.

Michael Butler, Program Co-Chair, Chairman and CEO of Cascadia Capital LLC as well as its co-founder, leads the firm and is an emerging thought leader in the New Energy Economy. Prior to co-founding Cascadia Capital, he served as a Managing Director at Lehman Brothers.

Bruce E. Dick, Program Co-Chair, a partner with Perkins Coie LLP, has been practicing business law for more than 20 years, with a focus on companies involved in energy or technology industries. His energy industry experience includes representing independent power producers and utilities.

Richard T. “Ted” Brandt II co-founded Marathon Capital in 1999 and serves as Chief Executive Officer and board member. Marathon is active in the power generation segment and, in particular, its various renewable power segments.

Todd Bright is a Director with Denham Capital Management LP in Houston, Texas and brings 17 years of experience to the firm. He is responsible for the origination, analysis, structuring, and execution of investments in the Power & Renewables Group.

Mark N. Crawford is a Senior Vice President, Commercial Banking, with Bank of America Merrill Lynch. His experience includes project financing, corporate debt, derivatives, leasing, private placements, syndicated loans, high yield debt and leveraged finance.

Craig Dublanko, Chief Financial Officer for the Coastal Community Action Program, manages its complex accounting system and oversees The Coastal Energy Project, which will have a generating capacity of six megawatts and is scheduled to go online in June, 2010.

Eric E. Freedman, a partner with K&L Gates, represents a wide variety of clients in both the private and public sectors on energy and electric utility law issues. His practice emphasizes energy, utilities and infrastructure transactional matters.

G. Scott Greenburg is a corporate/securities partner with K&L Gates LLP with more than 25 years of experience in venture capital, public offerings, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, complex commercial transactions and international product distribution.

Kimberly J. Harris is executive vice president and chief resource officer for Puget Sound Energy. She heads Energy Resources, including project development and contract management, Energy Efficiency Services, and federal government relations.

Benjamin Lackey is General Counsel, Energy for Iberdrola Renewables. He joined the firm in 2004 and is responsible for legal matters relating to its renewable, thermal and energy trading businesses.

Rick LeFaivre, PhD, a Managing Director with OVP Venture Partners, focuses on technology-based investments. He also serves as Director of New Ventures - Technology at the University of Washington’s Center for Commercialization.

Charles S. Lewis III is the Lead Financial Partner and Tax Matters Partner with Stoel Rives LLP. His practice focuses primarily on federal income tax, particularly with respect to planning and implementing sophisticated taxmotivated transactions.

William G. Malley, a partner with Perkins Coie LLP, focuses on environmental counseling, litigation, and infrastructure project development. He has advised clients in preparing applications for financial assistance from the U.S. Department of Energy.

Kirt W. Montague, Chief Executive Officer of Prometheus Energy and a member of the firm’s Board of Directors. Prometheus Energy is a fuel company that produces, sells and distributes liquid natural gas, LNG, a clean burning, less expensive and safe alternative to diesel fuel and propane.

Peter D. Mostow, a partner with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati PC. His practice focuses on energy, natural resource, and environmental law. He specializes in guiding private and public clients through the federal, state, and local siting and environmental permitting processes for wind, geothermal, solar, ocean, hydroelectric power plants, and biofuel facilities.

Richard Rodgers, Managing Director and CEO of Montgomery Street Financial Services LLC, was previously with Bank of America Leasing & Capital Group for 20 years, where he developed and was responsible for the highly successful syndications and debt placement group.

Steven Scott is Director of Investor Relations and Corporate Secretary at Ram Power, Corp. He is responsible for the strategic investor relations for the company, as well as the duties associated with Corporate Secretary. Prior to joining Ram Power, he was in External Financial Reporting for NV Energy, a large utility based in Nevada.

Tim Stearns, Senior Energy Policy Specialist for the Washington State Department of Commerce, Energy Policy Division, works with emerging energy technologies, market expansion for sustainable companies and modernization and diversification of the northwest power system.

Matthew Steuerwalt, Senior Vice President at Strategies 360, previously served for four years in Washington Governor Christine Gregoire’s executive policy office. He served as the Governor’s advisor on energy, climate change, telecommunications and financial institutions.
