Andrew H. Ernst, Program Co-Chair, a partner with Hunter, Maclean, Exley & Dunn PC, practices in the areas of real estate development, industrial development, and environmental law. He has extensive experience in representing clients in coastal development matters including issues arising under Georgia’s Coastal Zone Management Act.

Rhodes Robinson, CEP, PWS, Program Co-Chair, is CEO of Environmental Services, Inc., an ecological consulting firm with 18 offices in the Southeast. He has over 30 years of consulting experience, has worked in over 20 states and currently focuses on mitigation banks and strategies for large development.

Beverlee E. Silva, Program Co-Chair is a partner with Alston & Bird LLP in the firm’s Environmental and Land Development Group. Her practice focuses on representing clients with complex environmental matters, including litigation and compliance counseling. She has extensive experience in environmental and toxic tort litigation.

John T. Vermont, CE, PWS, Program Co-Chair, is a consultant with Corblu Ecology Group LLC. He has over 22 years of consulting experience in field studies, assessments, and environmental permitting throughout the southeast. He has extensive experience with wetland characterization, delineation, and management.

Melanie L. Casner, SAS, is the Senior Regulatory Counsel for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District (USACE). She joined the USACE through the Chief Counsel's Civilian Honors Program in September 2008. She provides legal advice to the Regulatory Division on issues mostly involving the CWA, RHA, NEPA, FOIA, and NHPA. In addition to providing legal services to the USACE Regulatory Division, she advises the USACE Civil Works and Planning Divisions on issues involving the CWA, NEPA, ESA, CZMA, and FOIA.

Douglas A. Henderson, is a partner with Troutman Sanders LLP with a national practice in environmental law, toxic tort litigation, and property rights litigation. He has tried cases involving chemical exposure, groundwater contamination, endangered species, and similar cases. He also litigated cases involving water rights, reservoirs, surface mining, pipelines and storm water runoff.

Russell L. Kaiser is with the US Environmental Protection Agency.

Albert (Bert) K. Langley, Jr., PhD, is District Coordinator and also serves as Manager of the Mountain District Office of the Georgia Environmental Protection Division. The Mountian District comprises 37 counties in north Georgia and includes the Atlanta metropolitan area. The office is responsible for all EPD compliance and enforcement activities in the District.

Philip G. Mancusi-Ungaro is an Attorney-Advisor in the Office of Water Legal Support, Office of Environmental Accountability, Region 4, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. He is the Region’s senior wetlands attorney and lead attorney on Everglades restoration.

Richard W. Morgan is Chief, Special Projects Section, Coastal Branch, Regulatory Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Prior to that, he was a park ranger/forester with the Corps.

Larry Neal is a Senior Principal Environmental Engineer and Vice President with AMEC. AMEC provides comprehensive environmental and engineering consulting services worldwide. Before joining AMEC in 1976, he was a water program manager with the Georgia Environmental Protection Division.

Samuel S. Olens was sworn in as Georgia’s fifty-third Attorney General on January 10, 2011. Previously, he was Chairman of the Cobb County Board of Commissioners and served as Cobb County District 3 Commissioner, and was also Vice-Chairman of the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District. He represented the 6th Congressional District on Georgia’s Department of Community Affairs Board 2003 through 2010.

William W. Sapp is a Senior Attorney with the Southern Environmental Law Center which is a non-profit, public interest law firm devoted to protecting the environment and special places in the South. Previously, he was the lead wetlands attorney for Region 4 of the Environmental Protection Agency in Atlanta. While at the EPA, he served as an adjunct professor at the Emory University Law School.

John (Jack) C. Sawyer is a partner with Alston & Bird LLP. He focuses on estate and tax planning, including conservation easements and asset protection, estate administration, fiduciary and tax litigation, and exempt organizations. He has been quoted in Forbes, Fortune and Georgia Trend as an expert on estate planning, and was selected by Worth Magazine as a “Top 100” wealth planning attorney, and is profiled in The Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers magazine.

R. Todd Silliman, a partner with McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP represents clients in regulatory matters, environmental litigation, and commercial real estate. He is a member of the American Arbitration Association’s roster of arbitrators.

Jennifer H. Welte is the Environmental Program Manager of the Wetlands Management Unit of Georgia EPD’s Watershed Protection Branch. Previously, she practiced environmental law for three years at King & Spalding. Her work as an environmental attorney included regulatory compliance issues, air and water permitting issues, and environmental due diligence matters, with particular emphasis on NPDES permitting and environmental litigation.
