James H. Cox, Program Co-Chair, is a shareholder at Carlton Fields. His 25 years of experience include class actions and complex litigation, business torts, entertainment law, products liability and wrongful death, intellectual property law, ERISA, unfair competition, and D & O liability and securities fraud.

Jennifer W. Fletcher, Program Co-Chair, a partner with Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP, serves as Team Leader of the firm’s Construction Industry Practice Group and is a member of its Executive Committee and its Litigation Group. Her practice involves construction industry issues exclusively.

Gregg Bundschuh, Executive Vice President and Equity Partner with Ames & Gough, is an expert in issues related to complex construction projects and the interrelationship of contractual risk and insurance. His 25-year career includes experience as a construction lawyer, insurance broker and risk consultant.

C. David Butler, Of Counsel with Shapiro Fussell Wedge & Martin LLP, has litigated bankruptcy cases in the southeast for over 30 years. He has been recognized as a bankruptcy specialist in every edition of The Best Lawyers in America.

Scott D. Cahalan is a partner in the Construction Litigation Section of Smith Gambrell & Russell LLP. His practice primarily consists of drafting and reviewing construction contracts, and construction litigation, arbitration, and mediation.

Shattuck “Tucker” Ely, a partner with Fellows LaBriola LLP, handles a broad-based commercial litigation practice with an emphasis in representing policyholders in insurance coverage matters. For the past three years, he has been selected as a “Georgia Rising Star” by Atlanta Magazine.

Ronald J. Garber, a partner with Shapiro Fussell Wedge & Martin LLP, has over 30 years experience in construction law. He assists clients on a wide variety of public and private construction projects in preventing and resolving disputes.

Thomas Grandmaison is a Vice President of Construction Liability and Product Line Manager with Lexington Insurance Company in Boston, one of the world’s leading property and casualty organizations.

David R. Hendrick, senior partner with Hendrick Phillips Salzman & Flatt PC has engaged in over 30 years of legal counseling, claim and dispute resolution, and litigation matters in the construction industry, and is a member of the Construction Industry Large Complex Case Panel of Arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association.

Josh Howell is an assistant vice president and a broker with Ames & Gough. He handles the property/casualty insurance needs of clients of both the Atlanta and the Washington, D.C., offices, as well as the professional liability needs of our clients in the Atlanta area.

Kirk D. Johnston, an attorney with Smith Currie & Hancock LLP, focuses his practice almost exclusively in the areas of construction litigation and insurance coverage. He has many years of experience representing owners, general contractors, architects, etc. on a wide range of construction projects.

David M. Leonard, a shareholder with Carlton Fields, has over 25 years experience in civil litigation, arbitration, and negotiation of disputes. He has handled general commercial litigation, complex insurance, reinsurance, bad faith claims, contract and warranty claims, and engineering disputes.

John W. Oxendine, Keynote Speaker, was elected Georgia Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner in 1994 and is now serving in his fourth term. He is also the Industrial Loan Commissioner and Comptroller General, and has received numerous awards for his public service.

Luis Prats, a shareholder in the Tampa office of Carlton Fields, is a board-certified construction attorney who represents a diverse clientele in complex commercial disputes, including all types of construction law and litigation.

George C. Reid is the founding member of The Reid Firm LLC. For more than 30 years, his legal practice has focused on the litigation, arbitration and mediation of complex construction and business disputes. He has extensive experience in the drafting and negotiation of construction and other procurement contracts. His construction claims and contracting experience has related to a wide variety of commercial and residential projects.

John I. Spangler, III, Chair of Alston & Bird LLP's Construction and Government Contracts Group, focuses on representing contractors, owners and design professionals in the negotiation and drafting of design and construction contracts, and in litigating, arbitrating and mediating construction disputes.

Robert B. Wedge is a partner with Shapiro Fussell Wedge & Martin LLP. His practice areas include coverage litigation, construction and commercial litigation, prosecution and defense of professional liability actions involving attorneys, architects and engineers.

Neil L. Wilcove, a partner at Freeman Mathis & Gary LLP, practices in the Construction and Litigation Section representing contractors, subcontractors, owners, developers, designers, architects, engineers, and businesses. He handles payment disputes, delay claims, and construction and design defect cases.
